Say It With Chocolate

It is that time of year, again! We are preparing for our annual Prime Rib Dinner/Dessert Auction. The date has been re-served and plans are being made for an evening of great food, fun and entertainment. Again, this year, the dinner and auction will be held at the Crossroads Freeport Campus. Mark Ebert will be auctioning spectacular desserts to the highest bidders. We will have great music and fabulous food. You will have the opportunity to hear what is happening at the Deer Ridge Retreat house and meet some of our guests. Plan now to attend!

Our desserts and appetizers will have a "Say It With Chocolate" theme this year. That means each dessert will contain some type of chocolate (dark chocolate, milk chocolate, white chocolate, etc.) or be in the shape of something chocolate. For example, a white cake may be shaped as a giant Hershey's Candy Kiss or a Reece's Peanut butter cup. We have already heard from some of the chefs and they are considering "Death by Chocolate" trifle, Chocolate Silk pie, Chocolate Caramel Cheesecake, Mint Chocolate chip layer cakes...and many other unbelievable creations. If you are not a "chocaholic," do not worry, there will be something for you.

Plan to arrive at 6:15 for tasty appetizers. View the dessert creations and choose your favorite sweets for bidding. The bidding begins before dinner, so you won't want to be late.

Bring a car full of friends, pool your funds to purchase a dessert, or buy a dessert and take it home for later. Tickets are still $25 each and include Prime Rib (or Honey Mustard Chicken, if you prefer), twice baked potatoes, vegetable, green leaf salad and rolls. Dessert is on you!
